Michael Mesnard
Biography
Raised in Clyde, Ohio and now residing in Willard, Ohio, Michael has been simulation racing for almost fifteen years now. Seven of those years have been with various online leagues. Michael was born February 1st, 1973. Michael has competed in various online leagues ranging from his own MMRL and RRL, but also off and on in WASCAR for a few years. Michael has won various championships in his own leagues, and also was a contender for the WASCAR Cup Series Championship in 2008. He hopes to be a contender again for not only the WASCAR Cup Championship, but also the RRL Legacy Cup Series Championship and the 2009-2010 RIRS Championship. Michael has won two MMRL Cup Series Championship, and two MMRL IROC Championships. Michael proves experience pays off racking up wins at multiple tracks on the circuit.
The Founding Father
Michael is the founding father of the all Mesnard teams. The team started out at Mesnard Motorsports with twin cars for Michael and Jay Mesnard in the 72 and 46. Michael then switched to the 53. Additional but very temporary team members joined during this time, especially at the start of the MMRL. The time for a change came. The team was renamed Revolution Motorsports, and the team was dedicated to running cars for only the Mesnard family. The team expanded to three cars when Gerald (Michael and Jay's father) joined in the #69 car. Expansion continued in 2007 when young Evan Mesnard (Michael's son) decided to join the mix full-time in the #73 car. 2013 The team's name again has a change to Gerald Mesnard Motorsports in memory of our father, Evan's grandfather Gerald Mesnard.
The History of Michael Mesnard and the #53
Michael has been using the #53 for many years now, but he didn't start with that number. Michael started his online racing career with the #72 Pepsi/Team Monte Carlo Chevy, which was twin cars with fellow Mesnard Motorsports teammate and brother Jay Mesnard. Michael took a few checkered flags in the #72. Michael then switched to his famed #53 where he has not only won races but dominated in points standings to win multiple championships. Michael has run the #53 in MMRL, RRL, and WASCAR's Cup and Nationwide Series. The only other time in recent history Michael has drove a different number was in the RIRS where he drove the #4 to two victories.
