Born and raised in Clyde, Ohio, Gerald is a Vietnam Veteran, and Purple Heart recipient, who is the father of Michael and Jay Mesnard, and grandfather of Evan Mesnard. The race team that we are all a part of is named in his memory. We have fielded a car for him since the league has been AI competition added. He almost got behind the wheel one season himself but became ill and was not able to contend.
